Again, let me reiterate, that it always pays to know the Officers and men in our AOR. It is an opportunity to have a tee-a tee with SUPT ARNEL U PERALTA, the General Santos City Jail warden and the concurrent Assistant Regional Director for Operations.

~To begin with, may we know sir, how was SUPT PERALTA as a cadet at the PNPA?

"At the Academy, I was a First (1st) Squad Leader of First (1st) Platoon "C" Coy of 2nd Battalion of BSPS ( Bachelor of Science in Public Safety) Class 1995. And added to that, I was also a pioneer member of the Slow Driller Company."

~ Was there any awards or citations that you received, sir?

" I got no major awards during my cadetship but I was a pioneer member of the Slow Driller Company."

~What made you chose BJMP over PNP and BFP sir?

" Accidentally, it was a draw lot during my time".

~ Was there any regret sir when you joined the bureau?

" Yes. Only in the first of service because I expected to be a Police Officer after I finished but as the years went by that regret slowly faded away."

~What was you first assignment after graduating at the Academy, sir?

" I was designated as Assistant Chief, Intelligence Division at the BJMP National Headquarters."

~ And how was your first assignment sir?
" For me, it was a big challenge. It is an application to my knowledge in Intel Networking"

~ What was the most challenging designation that you have had in your BJMP service, sir?

"The most challenging designation was then I was designated as JNTI (Jail National Training Institute ) Commandant. It was challenging because it was far from home, no money and there were so many sexy recruits (LOL).

~How's Gen. Santos City Jail under your leadership, sir?

"It is fine and I am somewhat stressful since I am far away from home, but I treat it as a challenge also. I will never give up and will continue to pursue and make my leadership in Gen. Santos City Jail a successful one.
